Lasker, Poggiani, Dailey, Mayerle and Boyes arrived on time. Lasker declared a quorum at 2:09. Dorsett and Spehar showed up later.
Lasker asked for approval of Poggiani's reports. Passed.
Lasker asked for Dorsett to send Pogo a check made out to the printer for the bookmark materials to be handed out at SF Conventions. She also asked that the results of the email voting be included in the meeting minutes. The vote approving the printing of the bookmarks was sent out to all members by Lasker. By Apr 27,2003, she received 6 "Ayes" from Mayerle, Cedeno, Spehar, DeMarce, Boyes and Dailey.
Dorsett said he will send in a Treasurer's Report, reflecting the interest paid during the preceding month and the payment for printing of the bookmarks.
Boyes made motion to use $1000 for a scholarship for a disabled writer to attend the Clarion West writing workshop last March. Boyes FINALLY wrote the formal proposal. Lasker forwarded letter to Clarion, who accepted our offer.
Lasker asked for a motion to appoint Morgan Kirby as Publicity Director. Mayerle motioned, Dorsett seconded. Passed.
Dorsett is working on an announcement to post to the Bar Conferences in order to get some more participants to help out with ReadAssist Projects.
Spehar mentioned it would be nice to have a visible sign of ReadAssist membership. Mentioned were patches and buttons. To be discussed at the July meeting.
(Results of post-meeting price investigation of badges and buttons yielded
(Badges: $5 set up fee, and $5 per badge.
(Buttons: two bids, one at $0.50 apiece and the other $35 per hundred, both plus shipping.)
This meeting was adjourned at 3:05 EDT.

A couple con-goers have canvassed Dealer Rooms and sent URLs for booksellers and other types of sites.
I am now in the middle of checking out lots and lots of links. Revised pages should go to Luis early next week.

Through circumstances over which I have no control, the bookmarks were delayed. They are now printed, and I will be picking them up on Monday. These bookmarks will be deployed to con-going volunteers for positioning on freebie tables.
